documentary credits
The documentary credit has long been the principal means of facilitating international trade - particularly in emerging markets. Our courses focus on the legal foundations which underpin the banking and commercial relationships and the financial structures involved.
Using workshops and case studies throughout - all based on real-world scenarios - participants are enabled to understand both the law and the practice of documentary credits. Although the use of the ICC rules, the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP), provides a universal framework, practice still varies in some jurisdictions and these variations are considered in depth.
This course includes a detailed analysis of the many changes introduced by the 2007 version of the UCP rules - UCP600
